Tabitha Green Lasley was the daughter of John Lasley and Rebecca Ann Pender. She was the granddaughter of James Lasley and Rebecca Dobbs. She was born 1841 in Simpson, Johnson, IL but moved to Ozark Co., MO with her family. She married Lewis Wilson Scrogum in 1862. He was born 17 Apr 1833 in Fayette Co., KY. In 1862 they and their family moved by wagon train across Indian Territory and on into Texas, setting in Young Co., Texas. She died in Young Co., TX in 1917 and was buried in Loving Cemetery, Loving, Young, TX.
