This is Nettie Ellen Drennan Clifton, b. 12 Feb 19908 om OK. She was the daughter of Ola Mae Walling and Tom Drennan, granddaughter of William Howard Walling and Sarah Ellen Gilmore Walling and Unknown Drennan. She was the ideal mother-in-law. She loved me just as I loved her. I could say she was one of my best friends.

John Dee Davis
This is John Dee Davis, b. 12 Jul 1918 in Phoenix, Arizona, son of William Arthur Davis and Nellie Massey (Sutterfield) Davis, grandson of Marcellus Davis and Louisa Ann Scrogum Davis. He served in the Navy during WWII and afterward he was a fireman with the Phoenix Fire Department. He married and had four sons as well as raising four sons of his sister-in-law. He died 14 Mar 2003 in AZ.

This is a photo of a picture of Ida Jane King Davis, my great great aunt. She married Lafranus N. Davis and raised their family in Idaho. Their descedents still live there--many of them.

Jim was the youngest child of James M.C. Davis. He was born only months before his father died. Eliza Rutherford Davis was his mother. He grew up in AR and MO. He married Etta Promist but she died in childbirth along with their son. He married a young widow, Thea Doshia Smith who had two children. They moved to Texas and both died in Wichita Co., TX

Houston was the son of Marcellus Davus and Louisa Ann Scrogum Davis. Mamie was the daughter of David T. Lewis (deceased) and Mary M. Blessett Lewis. They were the grandchildren of Lewis Wilson Scrogum and Tabitha Green Lasley Scrogum and David F. Lewis and Rebecca Ann Pender.

Tabitha Green Lasley
Tabitha Green Lasley was my gggrandmother. She was the daughter of John Lasley and Rebecca Ann Pender and the granddaughter of James Lasley and Rebecca Dobbs. She was born 1841 in Simpson, Johnson, IL and died 1917 in Loving, Young, TX. She married Lewis Wilson Scrogum about 1862 in Ozark Co., MO. He was born 17 Apr 1833 to Daniel Scrogham and Permleia (Puckett) Pike, a widow with two small children. They moved to Baxter Co., AR then back to Ozark Co., MO. In 1862 Lewis and Tabitha moved to Young Co., TX. She died 1917 in Loving, Young, TX and was buried in the Loving Cemetery. He lived until 1924 when living with his son in Norton, Runnells, TX where he was buried in the Norton Cemetery. They left nine children, most of whom lived in TX.
