Gold Dredger View from Our Yard

This the view from our front porch in Hammonton, Ca. It was a gold dredging town owned by Yuba Consolidated. We all went to sleep with the noise of the dredgers. They ran 24 hours a day. Anyone who grew up in Hammonton misses the sound - it was a part of our life!
