Lars Birger Karlsen
He was my step-father. When my mother met him, Lars was a seaman. Lars was a very hard working steeplejack which is a very dangerous job. Because of Lars we were able to move out of the Red Hook projects and into three bedroom apartments and from then on I had my own bedroom. We ended up in Bay Ridge on Ovington Avenue in a beautiful apartment only a few blocks from Bay Ridge High School where I studied Norwegian. He loved to dance and was highly intelligent and read 2 American newspapers every day. His son Leif Karlsen came to visit us. His son was very handsome and lived in Norway. KARLSEN, LARS BIRGER was born 24 March 1920 and Died 17 June 1995. Received Social Security number 083-24-4906 (indicating New York) and, Death Master File says, died 17 June 1995. Research in ZIP Code 11209 Source: Death Master File (public domain). Check Archives for LARS KARLSEN. Lars Birger Karlsen has a son named Leif Karlsen who was born and raised in Norway.

For fifty years I have been a Document Examiner and that is how I earn my living. For over 50 years I have also been a publicist for actors, singers, writers, composers, artists, comedians, and many progressive non-profit organizations. I am a Librettist-Composer of a Broadway musical called, "Nellie Bly" and I am in the process of making small changes to it. In addition, I have written over 100 songs that would be considered "popular music" in the genre of THE AMERICAN SONGBOOK.
My family consists of four branches. The Norwegians and The Italians and the Norwegian-Americans and the Italian Americans.
