Grandma and Grandpa Piatt

I believe this is Jacob and Elibeth Piatt who would be my great-great-great grandparents. Although the back of the picture just says "Piatts" These would be the parents of John Piatt. They lived in Darke County, Ohio.

I have an ancestor David "Platts" that lived in Stark Co. Ohio. born in Pennsylvania about 1794.

My ancestors were definitely Piatts but some now spell it "Pyeatte". I don;t know if Platt is another variation or not. I do think they came into the counry through Pa, though. the name was French Hugenotte(sp?)

Do you know the birth or death years for either person or Elizabeth's maiden name. I have about 6 Jacob Piatt's in my family tree and would like to know if this is one of them. thanks!

My database has 76,000+ names in it (as of 2025). I have my tree on Ancestry, the name of it is "Falling Leaves" and I am the "home person" therein. I also work heavily on Family Search website, updating data and uploading my photos and documents there now, since that is free.
Mainly my families came from Germany and settled (eventually) in Ohio.
