William Henry and Laura
This is a great great uncle, William Henry Piatt, known as Willie and his bride Laura. I know very little about him except he was my great grandmother's brother and he was a barber. he was the son of John and Mary Elizabeth(Puterbaugh) Piatt who lived in New Madison, ohio.

This is a wedding picture of my great grandparents, John Cable Harrison and Dora Alice Piatt taken in 1885. I love her dress! Grandpa Harrison died of the influenza in the 1930s and Grandma lived to be 94 years old living in Savonna, Ohio until she moved to Van Wert, Ohio in the 1950s to be near her daughter, Bertha. She died in 1959 in Van Wert and they are both buried in Greenmound Cemetery in New Madison, Ohio. They had five children.

Thelma (Winters) Updegrove was born on June 25, 1920 at home delivery in Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana United States, and died at age 87 years old on September 7, 2007 at 2007 Van Crest, in Van Wert, Van Wert County, Ohio USA. Robert and Thelma (Winters) Updegrove
A photo of Robert Updegrove and Thelma Winters. These are my parents taken during World War II as my father was about to leave to go back to camp. They had just become engaged. She was Thelma Winters and this was taken in front of her house. They were married in July of 1946 and were married until his death in October of 1975. She died in September of 2007.
Robert was a Staff Sergeant and served in the US Army Medical Corps in the Phillipines.

My Great Grandfather, Harrison Updegrove. He was deputy postmaster of Van wert County and this was taken from his official portrait. He used the name "Harry" I'm not sure if he was William Henry Harrison Updegrove or I have seen it listed as William harvey Harrison Updegrove. His tombstone just reads H.H. Updegrove but my great aunt(his daughter) always said his name was Harry.

I believe this is Jacob and Elibeth Piatt who would be my great-great-great grandparents. Although the back of the picture just says "Piatts" These would be the parents of John Piatt. They lived in Darke County, Ohio.

John Cable and Dora Alice(Piatt) Harrison's wedding picture. they lived in Darke County, ohio in a village called Savona. He was a farmer. They had 6 children,Ilo, Daisy, Cletus, Carvin, Bertha, and Thelma. Ilo was stillborn and Carvin fell into a grain elevator and smothered when he was 12. Bertha was my grandmother and lived to be 94. Dora also lived to be 94. John died of the flu in his 60's.
