My Uncle Irving George Barteau was killed on July 30th of 1944 during an invasion at St. Lo, France. He was buried there on August 11, 1944 and the following information came from a report sent to his family from the Army:
PVT. Irving George Barteau, ASN 37 623 855, is buried in Plot H, Row 16, Grave 7
Headstone: Cross
Brittany American Cemetery and Memorial in St. James, France.
His Cross on the Tombstone reads:

PVT. 115 INF 29 DIVISION
Missouri Aug. 11, 1944
