Great Grandmother Harger

My great-grandmother, Lillie Lancaster Harger, who was the daughter of George Whitfield and Docia Wilson Lancaster, and who lived in the Ayersville/Sandy Ridge communities of Rockingham and Stokes Cos. NC. (Right on the county line for those counties) She was descended from the Lancasters of Floyd Co. Va. and the Wilsons, Martins, and Richardsons of Rockingham/Stokes Cos. NC. She was married to Walter Lee Harger, a Henry Co. Va. native. Lillie was the mother of Kate Harger Crews, and Nina Lee Harger Styers Adler. Three more children had died very young. Lillie died ca. 1905, and her final resting place is a mystery. It is believed that she was buried in Stokes Co. in an unmarked family "burying ground" belonging to some Hargers.
