This was the height of the hippie movement, when bell bottoms were popular. People all over flocked to Green's to buy them. My father had a sign near the dressing room, which was a tent in the middle of the store, that said "All shoplifters will receive bad karma."

Just read the biography for the first time. My dad was NOT an only child. He had a brother named Martin, who was younger and also passed away. Also, Martin was co-owner of Green's Army & Navy, along with my dad Isadore.
