Henry Lee Richardson was born on August 25, 1873 in Ringgold, Pittsylvania County, Virginia United States to George Thomas Richardson and Amanda Jane (Payne) Richardson, and had siblings Daniel Thomas Richardson, Amanda Sarah Richardson Gosney, Eliza Ann (Richardson) Yeaman, Julia Ellen (Richardson) Adams, Beverly Carter Richardson, Lucy Rachael (Richardson) Aherron, and Ruth Magdalene (Richardson) Ricketts. He married Alma W (Barbour) Richardson on December 8, 1907 in Caswell County, North Carolina, and they were married until Alma's death on June 23, 1912. They had children George Stewart Richardson, Henry Linwood Richardson, and Watson Richardson. He also married Mary Drucilla (Shaw) Richardson on February 4, 1919 in Danville, Pittsylvania County, and they were married until Henry's death on February 6, 1942.
