Horse and his dad, Jerry
this was in Estes Park CO. Jerry was killed in a car accident in 1976 so it had to have been taken not long before his wreck. He ran a stop sign, went through a barbed-wire fence, and something must have hit him in the temple because he was killed instantly. There were little to no marks on him. October 19, 1976, the day before Horse turned 12.

He was larger than life. Standing 6'2" with a big booming voice, he was full of charisma. Blue eyes and dimples, you could tell when he was trying to pull your leg about something because he'd bite the corner of his bottom lip. I dont know anyone who didnt like him. He liked to joke, listen to music, hunt and fish, and hang with his drag racing buddies. He worked hard and played hard. He seemed invincible. He intimidated boys, which the girls didnt like, but I think they understood and appreciated him for it. He worshipped his mom.

I love genealogy, hot rods and classic rock. I just happened to go through Cuba MO the other day and get stuck in the middle of the People's Convoy. It was pretty exciting to be in the middle of history in the making. I took lots of pictures.
I have two amazing kids and seven amazing grandkids. My mom and one aunt are still alive, for which I am grateful.
