Herbert Henry Norris is the son of William T and Flora K Norris. He was the oldest child with younger siblings Evert, Habert, and Hazel Norris. They lived in Cumberland, Tennessee, USA. He enlisted on September 15, 1942 in Fort Oglethorpe Georgia and was a first class private and served during World War II. Herbert was a former prisoner of war, and a recipient of the Purple Heart.
