Her name was Isabelle Johnson till she became a nun then it was changed to sister Francis Margaret. She is my daddy's mother's sister.
She was a nun in Chicago as a teacher.than came to Nazareth convent in bardstown ky.were she is buried...

Some of the nuns were very sweet compassionate people. I wentvto Catholic school and only had one dreadful mean nun. I was pretty sure her family put her there because she was so mean! LOL

She is so beautiful. I could never understand how a young woman could give up all chance of a mormal woman's life, never fall in love, have a physical life eith a man, be pregnant, raise children. But I never never had a religious vocation, obviously.

I haven't known many "stereotypical nuns". I worked in a Catholic hospital and didn't go to Catholic school, though. Maybe those poor nuns were soured by dealing with teenagers all the time :P
