James Allan McCann

James Allan McCann was a son of Mathew McCann and Margaret Allen. He immigrated to the USA about 1848 from Glasgow Scotland although his parents were from Ireland. He lived initially in NYC, NY, but later lived in Try, NY, Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada, North Adams, Massachusetts, Hannibal Missouri and in San Diego County, California. He was a tailor, and owned "PJ Bowland & Co." in North Adams, Mass. He was the Father of several children, the most noted being Allan Rockwell McCann a US Navy VAdm and explorer.
