James G. Rankin
I have an old studio photograph identified as Jim RANKIN which was taken at the J. E. Hale Studio in Seneca Falls, NY. Jim appears to be in his 20's at the time the photograph was taken, likely sometime in the 1890's. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Jim and his family:

James “Jim” G. RANKIN was b. Apr 1868 in Massachusetts to parents William Daniel RANKIN (1836-1901) and Jane Smyth ANDERSON (1838-1918) who were married 2 Oct 1858 in Blackstone, MA. Jim was one of four children born to this couple including John Anderson; William B.; James “Jim” G.; and Jennie RANKIN, all born between 1859 and 1872.

Jim married Elizabeth “Ella” FAY (1871-1911) on 4 Oct 1899 in Seneca Falls, NY. The couple had four children including William James; Harold Thomas; James Fay; and Hawail RANKIN, all born between 1901 and 1914. Jim died 19 Apr 1942 in Milwaukee, WI.

I’d like to get the photograph in the care of family and would appreciate you contacting me if you are a member of this family or know someone who might be.

Thanks,
Shelley
