According to my records, James Newton was born 4/10/1849 in , Washington, Indiana, USA and died 12/23/1923 in Knoxville, Marion, Iowa, USA. He is buried in the Gullion Cemetery in Attica, Marion, Iowa, USA. His Father, Wm. Shannon, was born 2/8/1808 and his Mother, Lucretia, was born 3/3/1811.
