This is one of two photos I have of my great grandmother, Jane Sells bc 1872 - ?.
She was my mother's paternal grandmother. I only have two records of Jane that I can find anywhere. One is on my grandfather's (Thomas Edwin Beadle) birth certificate in 1891 and on his school record in 1895, both in Poplar, London, UK. Before and after that, I can find no trace of her. She was supposedly married to Henry James Beadle b 1872, also of Poplar but I can find no record of the marriage. Jane and Henry split up some time between 1895 and 1901 and Jane left Thomas with his paternal grandparents to "marry" a Mr Stevens. They had two more daughters that I know of. The other photo I have of Jane is with one of these girls and her family. I can find no record of this marriage either in the name of Sells nor Beadle.
