LOCKPORT - Jared W. Stiles of Dysinger Road, a retired administrator in the Cleveland Hill School District, Cheektowaga, died Saturday (Jan. 11, 1997) at Lockport Memorial Hospital. He was 66...

A native of Bridgeton, N.J., he served in the Army from 1955 to 1957.
A graduate of Hobart College, he received a master's degree at Alfred University and a doctorate degree in education from the University of Buffalo. He had been in education for 25 years before his retirement from Cleveland Hill in 1983.

After retirement, he was a real estate salesman for Potter Realtors Inc. and Carriage Realty Inc. in Lockport.

He was an elder of First Presbyterian Church and a member of the Lockport Glee Club, the Batavia Barber Shop Quartet and the P.M. Toastmasters.

Survivors include his wife, the former Carol McHale; two sons, Timothy R. of Perrysburg and Jared M.; two brothers, Robert of Columbus, Ohio, and Edward of Cortland; and a sister, Ann Taylor of Palm Beach Garden, Fla.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in First Presbyterian Church, 21 Church St.

Jared Walter Stiles Jr was the son of Jared Walter Stiles and Jean F Smith. He He was born on November 9, 1930 in Bridgeton, New Jersey and had brothers Robert Bruce Stiles (1932-2019) and Edward Hart Stiles (1935-2009) as well as a sister. Jared was a graduate of Hobart College and also received a master's degree from Alfred University and a doctorate degree in education from the University of Buffalo. On December 22, 1956 he married Carole Lynn McHale (1934–2004) in Cortland, NY. They had sons Timothy and Jared. He had been in education for 25 years before his retirement from Cleveland Hill in 1983. After retirement, he was a real estate salesman for Potter Realtors Inc. and Carriage Realty Inc. in Lockport. Jared was member of the Lockport Glee Club, the Batavia Barber Shop Quartet, and the P.M. Toastmasters. On January 15, 1997, Jared Stiles Jr passed away in Lockport, New York at the age of 66.
