I’ve “rescued” an old photograph of Aunt Jennie COVERDALLE or COVERDALE which was taken sometime in the early 1900’s with Jennie likely in her 40’s at the time the photograph was taken. There is no studio or location referenced on the photograph though it was found in Indiana if that is any clue. I’m hoping to locate someone from Jennie’s family so that this beautiful old photograph can be returned to the care of her family. If you are a member of this family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me.
PETA is a belligerent organization that goes out of its way to cause trouble and does nothing to promote anything good for animals, just promotes brewing up storms........I like and agree what you did with the sticker
Well to look prosperous, fur is unsightly & undignified. We now have other options to 'be warm'... If you happen to live in 'The Wilderness' & you are dependent on what benefits the area animals have to offer, that is an entirely different set of standards & circumstances. Back in the time of this photo, fur was considered beautiful to wear...& showed you (no doubt) had wealth.
Where did that come from seeing a woman in a fur coat. The fur coat was the subject here, not money or how it was gotten . Seriously do you think the fur coat money came from the backs of slaves in this particular case
Excuse me !!!! In my opinion, people find a reason to justify their actions. e.g.
‘ a little fur is no problem if you’re cold’ . So if you can’t draw the parallel, so be it.
I study the Coverdale families in America. I may be able to figure out who this is and perhaps find a living descendant. Please reply to get me started looking.
I'm searching for photos of my ancestors, I believe Jennie Coverdale is my great grandmother. Her son Robert was my dad ( Alan ) father . All from Indiana.
