Jerry Dean Holbrook 1974 - 2022 Georgia - Jasper, Florida

Jerry Dean Holbrook, age 48, of Jasper, FL. passed away on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2022.

Jerry was born in Kennesaw, Georgia on October 30, 1974 to the late Jimmy Lee Holbrook and Cynthia Carroll Holbrook. He was the epitome of a good ole country boy. He loved riding the dirt roads and fishing, in fact he loved building and fishing, in addition to that, he gave the best hugs and loved to make people laugh and oh yeah fishing. His family lived in Jennings and Atlanta but Jasper was always home. Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Lee Holbrook. When one reflects on the day of Jerry’s death, do not imagine him gone from your lives, do not be sad, just know that he got a promotion and has gone to heaven to be with his dad and is now at the best fishing hole there is in heaven and let your soul be at peace.

Survivors include his five daughters, Darien Kay Morgan, Kylie Octava Long, Bailee Dean Franklin, Naomi Grace Holbrook and Kassandra Gayle Robertson; his mother, Cindy Holbrook; his two brothers, Donnie Lee Thompson and John Otis Holbrook; his sisters, Sheena Ruth Holbrook, Tia Marie Holbrook, and Sibyl Bass Reagan; three grandchildren, Ayla Rosario Morgan, Alan Mauricio Morgan and Ziya Lynn Franklin; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial services was held on at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 2, 2023 in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home in Jasper, FL.

Debby Stevens
I'm a Christian, and I'm a daughter of Allan B. Holbrook, now in heaven. My married name is Debby Stevens.
My parents, Allan and Marie, were devout Christians, and had 10 children. They were both school teachers, but Mom quit teaching at public school after marriage. But both Mom and Dad home-schooled us all - starting when I was in 1st grade - that's when they came to the decision to home-school us. Dad earned an income through being an English teacher here in Traverse City, for man years. Dad started some Bible meetings that took place in the homes of friends of ours and in our own. He was the main teacher in it, and it was in a discoursing style - he would talk about spiritual things with the fathers of the families, each time, and all the children of the families would sit and listen to it all.
