Martin J Barron was born on October 14, 1857. He was in a relationship with Katherine (Collins) Barron, and had children John Joseph Barron, James Stanislaus Barron, Martin Aloysius Barron I, William Bernard Barron, Mary A Barron, Leo Patrick Barron, Katherine E Barron, Matthew I Barron, and Jane A Barron. s/o Martin J and Catherine (Collins) Barron; h/o Margaret E O'Hare whom he married 29 Nov. 1917 in Maine. He was educated in Portland, ME schools. He was vice president and treasurer of the investment firm of Burns, Barron & Co. he had been connected with the investment business since 1912, including associated with George A Fernald & Co one of the pioneers in this field in Maine and with Richardson Hill & Co and Paine, Webber & Co before January 1934 when he assumed the position he held until the tie of this death. In 1939 he was elected president of the Bond Club of Maine. He was also a member of the Cathedral Parish Knights of Columbus and American Legion. He was one of the first to enlist for service in the WW joining the old Milliken regiment at Brunswick and later transferring to the officers' training camp at Plattsburg, NY. After receiving his comission he spent several months overseas. He is survived by his father Martin; three sisters Mary A Barron; Katherine Barron and Jane Barron of Portland, ME: three brothers William Barron of New York City; James and Matthew Barron of Portland, Me; a son John Barron; four daughters Nancy, Margaret, Patricia and Mary Katherine Barron of Portland, ME.
