Joseph Dentici was born on May 21, 1910 to parents Maria Providenza Agliata (1892-1966) and Michael Dentici (1887-1958). He had siblings Anthony Dentici (1916-1995) and Mary Rosalie Dentici (1921-2013).
He lived in Kittanning, Pennsylvania, USA and graduated from Kittanning High School in 1927, and later went on to complete 4 years of college.
Jospeh married Nellie Biondi (1920-1985) on January 29, 1949 in Allegheny, Pennsylvania, USA and the couple had a son together.
