Josie HUEY
I have in my possession an old photograph of Josie HUEY of Bellevue, IA. The photograph was taken at the Brands Studio in Chicago, IL in the 1880’s with Josie appearing to be in her 20’s at the time. The photograph it appears was a gift to Juliet W. SEAWARD who name also appears on the back of the photograph. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Josie and her family:

Josephine or Johannie “Josie” HUEY was b. 30 Apr 1866 in Wilton, IA to parents Robert Miles HEUY (b. 1838) and Mary E. FOLEY (b. 1842). Josie was one of 9 children born to this couple including Frank L.; Johannie; Ellen “Ella” May; Edward S.; Rozelle “Rose” or “Rosey” Ann; Charles; Harry A.; and William Thomas ; and Roy Arthur HUEY, all born between 1864 and 1880. Josie married John J. MURPHY (1861-1926) and they had a son Johnnie MURPHY (1886-1908). Josie died in 1956 in Los Angeles, CA and was buried in the Riverside Cemetery in Denver, CO.

I am hoping to see the photograph returned to family and would appreciate you contacting me at your earliest convenience regarding the photograph and this family.

Thanks,
Shelley
