I think they just look really short. The bride looks like a grown woman to me, the groom looks younger and then you have the girl who obviously is a young girl.

If they are Mexican, they were expected in the past to look serious in photos, at least that is what my husband told me. I've seen a few photos of my in-laws when they were young and none of them have smiles on.

Anne Stokes the cameras had long exposures too. Holding a smile for several minutes is hard so they tended not to.

This is a Mexican couple in their wedding attire. The little girl probably a sister. This looks just like the one I recently had framed of my husband's grandparents at their wedding. Tiny little people.

Jeff Hyde are they liittle people?
Feb 02, 2019 ·

BTW my husband's grandparents had 20 children, my mother in law the oldest. Weddings are very serious with these guys and all children taken care of when necessary. The family reunions are yearly as everyone lives in San Diego or around Placentia CA. I call all these guys my family as I have none left to speak of, they embraced me the 1st time they met me. So here is to the Leyba-Arias-Suarez Family---Love you guys to the moon and back. Jeffie

Fi McManus what’s the story behind their wedding? I tried to find stuff but couldn’t find anything about their relationship either
Feb 02, 2019 ·
Fi McManus
No me neither but it wasn't unusual for these matches to be made by families.Sometimes the Bride and Groom were in love with other people but the family wouldn't approve so they'd each be married off..Of course this is just my opinion..But it doesn't look like a happy occasion

The exposure time on those old cameras meant you had to keep motionless for ages, so a smile would be difficult to hold long enough and would come out looking wierd.
