Just a local boy from Shipley,England
Found in our local Windhill cemetery in Shipley West Yorkshire UK.Thomas at the age of 19 enlisted into the 51st PA infantry and fought in the American civil war form 1861-65.He came back home with his American wife Sarah about 1871.Tom died at the age of 71.R.S.P.

Thomas Hill,served with the 51st Pa. Infantry,His wife Sarah filed an application for a pension in 1891 and again in 1907,from England.
Thomas Hill and his U.S. wife are in the UK 1871 Census living at 52 High Street in IDLE their Shop is still standing.Idle is now part of the Bradford Metro.
