Leigh was born and raised in Los Angeles County California. Leigh attended La Puente High School in La Puente CA and completed up until his sophomore year in 1961. He was married twice to Kathleen E Malloy and Susan A Schmidt and had no children. He moved to the state of Washington with his second wife, Susan, and in 1981 he died in Bellevue Washington.
