Lonnie F (81) was born February 22, 1924 to John and Sarah Holbrook in Lebanon, Oklahoma.

Lonnie grew up in southern Oklahoma and West Texas, where he met his wife Ima Jo Blue. Lonnie joined the Army in 1943 and married Ima Jo that year in San Diego, California. Lonnie returned from European campaign seeing duty in France, Austria and Germany. Lonnie was discharged in 1946.

Eventually settling in the Oklahoma City area, Lonnie worked for Rainbo Baking Company for 40 years. Lonnie and his wife of 60 years, Ima Jo, had five children.

Lonnie was preceded to heaven by his parents, his wife Ima Jo, daughter Rhonda Jo, four sisters and five brothers.

He is survived by his brother, Charles Lloyd; and children Leon, Fonda, Randy, and Rene. Also left to cherish his memory are nine grandchildren, their spouses, numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.

Lonnie is remembered for his love of singing praises to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Lonnie had a marvelous voice, loved to sing, garden and be outside in the sun. He had a phenomenal memory and a joyous sense of humor. His family, while cherishing his memory, takes great joy and comfort in the knowledge he is with his Lord and Savior, and is singing praises with is heavenly family in the arms of God on Streets of Gold.

Debby Stevens
I'm a Christian, and I'm a daughter of Allan B. Holbrook, now in heaven. My married name is Debby Stevens.
My parents, Allan and Marie, were devout Christians, and had 10 children. They were both school teachers, but Mom quit teaching at public school after marriage. But both Mom and Dad home-schooled us all - starting when I was in 1st grade - that's when they came to the decision to home-school us. Dad earned an income through being an English teacher here in Traverse City, for man years. Dad started some Bible meetings that took place in the homes of friends of ours and in our own. He was the main teacher in it, and it was in a discoursing style - he would talk about spiritual things with the fathers of the families, each time, and all the children of the families would sit and listen to it all.
