Mary Elizabeth (Oldfield) Johnson of 8 Bank ST, in Candor Village, Tioga County, New York USA was born on February 2, 1833 at Oldfield House 15 West ST (House Was Torn Down & Replaced, in Warwick Village, Orange County. She was married to Leroy N. Johnson, and had children Irvine Leroy "Irving" Johnson, Mary Josephine (Johnson) Hulslander, Jesse Eugene Johnson, and William Lewis "Willis" Johnson. Mary Johnson died at age 73 years old on March 4, 1906 at Johnson House 8 Bank ST, in Candor Village, Tioga County, and was buried on March 7, 1906 at Maple Grove Cemetery Owego ST, in Candor Village, Tioga County,.

Leroy Nathan Johnson was born at home at the Johnson Cabin at 14 Front St (Was Was Torn Down & Replaced) on March 16th, 1832 to Israel Abraham Johnson & Pheobe Betsey McCarter. He grew up in Candor NY. He met and married Mary Elizabeth Oldfield on May 21st, 1857 In Candor NY. He Enlisted in the Union Army during the Civil War. He served in the 109th NY Volunteer Infantry Regiment Co. B. he became very ill and was taken off duty and placed in General Hospital in Washington DC. After getting better and returning home from the war, he bought some land and became a farmer. He lived at 12 Fronts ST (Now 12 Main ST) he raised his family and was a member of the Free Masons Lodge 411 in Candor. He and Mary raised 4 children, 3 boys and 1 girl. after his children grew up, he sold the land, and his house on Front ST and he and his wife moved to 8 Bank ST. He was widowed on March 4th, 1906 when his wife Mary Elizabeth Oldfield died from pneumonia. He passed away at home at 8 Bank ST on July 14th, 1907 From a heart attack caused from heart disease. He was buried in Maple Grove Cemetery on Owego ST Next to his wife Mary Elizabeth Oldfield & his sister Mary Elizabeth Johnson. He had a masonic funeral
