Lucius Darling Smith
Lucius Darling Smith as a very young, single man. He lived in Verona, Oneida Co., NY, from early 1800s but was born somewhere in MA, in 1849. He died either in 1901 or 1906, unknown for sure, but was buried in Riverview Cemetery, Port Ewen, Ulster Co., NY. He was married to Maria Estelle Williams in 1873, at Sabury, or Sudbury, NY. The marriage was witnessed by a Miss Hallie Estey, Sarah Jane Estey, and other members of the Estey family. Lucius owned 3 barges and worked for many years on The Barge Canal of the Erie Canal system.
