A photo of Aunt Lou ewis who was still in school when Grandma died. She helped with chores on the ranch and also talked about going to Uncle Thomas Barkers. She used to scrub the floors with a soap that turned them pink. They raised turkeys for their money, selling the most before Christmas. Then when Grandpa died, they lived with Aunt Mary. She took jobs with my mother in Placerville and Lake Tahoe, and then started sewing at Weinstocks & Lubbin in Sacramento in 1906.
