Manerva Amanda Judd was born on June 25, 1917 in Coweta Wagon, Oklahoma to parents William Herman Judd (1865-1928) and Eliza Jane Bryan Bates (1877-1959). She had siblings including Harry H (1892-1960), John Arthur (1896-1952), Clarence (1898-1978), Beulah (1901-1988), Moses Bates (1903-1990), Roy A (1905-1975), Frank Elbridge (1908-1965), Herbert (1910-1987), Herman (1912-1966), and Calvin Judd (1914-1982). She married Cecil Melvin George Stonebarger (1913-1981) on 1 March 1934 at Claremore, Oklahoma. The couple had children together; Billy Charles (1937-2006), Bobby Ray (1928-2002), and Shirley Darlene Stonebarger (1948-2003). The family lived in Claremore, Rogers, Oklahoma.
