Margaret Jeanneatta Stafford with beau on a ladder used to get from the beach to the seawall in Galveston Texas in the 1900's. My grandfather said the young men liked to stand at the bottom of the ladders as they might get a chance to catch a glimpse of a girl's ankle. How things have changed!

According to the 1930 federal census, Margaret was living with her parents and 3 siblings in Galveston Texas. Kate was 10 and attending school. Dad William was working as a cotton broker. She married Asa Lee Crow Sr and had children Mary Kate Crow Sinclair and Asa Lee Crow Jr .
