Maria Lavalle Urbina
Maria Lavalle Urbina (1908-1996). Born in 1908 in Campeche City, she was a primary school teacher, lawyer, and the first woman to qualify as a lawyer in her home state; first female Supreme Court of Justice of the District and Federal Territories 1947th 1954; First woman to preside over the Senate of the Republic in 1965, by the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) in the XLVI-XLVII Legislature. She represented Mexico in 30 international meetings and assemblies of the OAS Inter-American Commission on Women. In their recognitions they highlight: ′′ Woman of the Year ", in 1963; UN award for eminent services to the cause of human rights in 1973; medal of honour to the legal merit of the National Lawyers Association In 1979; Just Sierra Medal of the Government of Campeche in 1981; Belisario Domínguez medal of the Senate of the Republic in 1985. Shee died on April 23, 1996. In Campeche there is a cultural foundation that bears her name.

For over 50 years I have also been a publicist for actors, singers, writers, composers, artists, comedians, and many progressive non-profit organizations. I am a Librettist-Composer of a Broadway musical called, "Nellie Bly" and I am in the process of making small changes to it. In addition, I have written over 100 songs that would be considered "popular music" in the genre of THE AMERICAN SONGBOOK.
My family consists of four branches. The Norwegians and The Italians and the Norwegian-Americans and the Italian Americans.
