MARLIN WATTS OBITUARY
Marlin E. Watts (Gene), 90, of Duncannon, passed away in the comfort of his home on Thursday May 13, 2021.

Born December 26, 1930, in Enola, he was a son of the late Rev. Guy T. and Ida (Bressler) Watts. Following his graduation from Enola High School, he honorably served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Gene was united in marriage with Martha J. (Stauffer) Watts on November 8, 1952 and shared a blessed union of 51 years prior to her passing on May 7, 2004.

Gene was employed by PennDOT as an Estimator for 22 years until his retirement. A man who was dedicated to his family and his faith, he attended the Duncannon Assembly of God and the River of God Church in Enola.

Gene is survived by his daughters, Susan J. Miller, Judy A. Watts and Diane G. Etter; sons, Steven A. Watts and David W. Watts; 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and a great-great granddaughter. He is also survived by his sisters, Lois E. McGuire, Katherine I. Keele and Mildred F. Baker and a brother, Edwin D. Watts. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Amanda Boor; and brothers, Ronald Q. and Gerald D. Watts.

His Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday May 18, 2021 at River of God Church, 747 Wertzville Road, Enola with Rev. Tim Halbfoerster, officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Union Cemetery, Duncannon. Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for his viewing from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to River of God Church, 747 Wertzville Road, Enola, PA 17025.

I'm a Christian, and I'm a daughter of Allan B. Holbrook, now in heaven. My married name is Debby Stevens.
My parents, Allan and Marie, were devout Christians, and had 10 children. They were both school teachers, but Mom quit teaching at public school after marriage. But both Mom and Dad home-schooled us all - starting when I was in 1st grade - that's when they came to the decision to home-school us. Dad earned an income through being an English teacher here in Traverse City, for man years. Dad started some Bible meetings that took place in the homes of friends of ours and in our own. He was the main teacher in it, and it was in a discoursing style - he would talk about spiritual things with the fathers of the families, each time, and all the children of the families would sit and listen to it all.
