Marriage of Timothy Martin Mallory to Michelle Elizabeth Johnson Aug. 8, 1962 Reno, Nevada
My first husband, Timothy Martin Mallory, and I, Michelle Elizabeth Johnson, were married in Reno, Nevada on Aug. 8, 1962. It was my sophomore summer of high school. I was pregnant with my first son which forced the marriage, although I was deeply in love with my first love. My parents had to get a court order to allow us to marry. We divorced in 1963 but only lived together for 6 weeks during my pregnancy. Similar to the song "Night Moves" by Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band, released in 1976, (edited lyrics)
"Out in the cornfields behind the drive in got heavy
Out in the back seat of my ‘56 Chevy
Workin’ on mysteries without any clues
Workin’ on our night moves"
I was so hopeful for a different kind of life with him but would never change the outcome for many reasons, our son being the most important.
Such is life. I am fine and happy. He is deceased.
