Mary Lawrentia Bradburn Todd
I have an old studio photograph identified as May BRADBURN TODD which was taken at the Alman & Co. Studio in New York City, NY. It appears to have been taken in the 1870’s or 1880’s with the young girl likely about 8 years old at the time. I believe that this is a photograph of Mary “May” L. BRADBURN TODD. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding May and her family:

Mary “May” Lawrentia BRADBURN was b. 16 Mar 1868 in New York to parents Edward BRADBURN (1837-1878) and Catherine E. DORAN. She was one of four children born to this couple including Mary “May” Louise; James Godwin; Julia C.; and Charles BRADBURN all born between 1868 and 1876. May married Samuel P. TODD (1861-1904) on 4 Nov 1885 and they had three children including Samuel Poultney Jr.; John P.; and Catherine or Kathryn Louise TODD, all born between 1886 and 1888. May was living with her widowed 74-year-old father in Manhattan in 1910.

May died 21 Aug 1953 in Boyd or Ashland County, KY.

I am hoping to locate someone from May’s family so that the photograph can be returned to their care. If you are a member of this family or know someone who might be, please contact me.

Thanks,
Shelley
