I have a studio photograph of Maude BRANDENSTEIN WILLIAMS which appears to have been taken in the 1890's or early 1900's with Maude likely in her 20's at the time the photograph was taken. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Maude and her family:
Maude M. BRANDENSTEIN was b. 12 Jul 1878 in Cobleskill or Sharon, NY to parents Henry Elias BRANDENSTEIN (1849-1919) and Georgana, Georganna, or Georgianna HILSINGER (1850-1907). Maude was one of 8 children born to this couple including Willie or Wellice or Wallis; Oscar; Cora; Newton; Maude M.; Earl J.; and Allie WILLIAMS, all born between 1869 and 1885. Maude married Harry J. WILLIAMS (1877-1953) on 18 Jul 1900 in Amsterdam, NY, and they had 8 children including Melvin; Thelma Mae; George W.; Elwyn or Elwynn Harry; Harold Henry; Alice Elizabeth; John Jefferson; and Marion or Marian Irene WILLIAMS, all born between 1901 and 1923.
Maude died 30 Nov 1942 in Springfield or Holyoke, MA and she is buried in the Hillcrest Park Cemetery in Springfield. At the time of her death she was survived by her husband, four sons, George W.; Elwynn H.; Harold H.; and John J. WILLIAMS of Springfield, MA; and three daughters Mrs. Paul HOSMER; Mrs. Everett SITTARD of Easthampton, MA; and Miss Marion WILLIAMS of Springfield, MA; and brothers Newton BRANDENSTEIN of South Kortright, NY; and Earl BRANDENSTEIN of Johnstown, NY; and two sisters Mrs. Martin WEST of Detroit, MI and Mrs. Arthur SPORE of Schenectady, NY.
I’d like to get the photograph to a family member and would appreciate you contacting me if you are a member of this family or know someone who might be.
