It is an angel. She was Cuban and a dear friend for about 40 years.
"Chelly" was a retired dog groomer who was partial to small white dogs, such as a Maltese or a poodle.
I met a Hispanic woman who had a depressed and overly shy Maltese dog who also needed some face cleaning. I told her to go to apartment 428. Chelly told her to leave the dog with her for a weekend. "When you return, you won't recognize her because she will be so happy and energetic. The next time I saw them, the dog came right over to me wagging her tail and looking lovely. The stains under her eyes were gone and she wasn't depressed or shy anymore. The woman was so happy and grateful to have gotten friends for her dog. She said that as soon as she sees the building, the dog wants to go inside.
I urged her to visit "Chelly" anytime because "Chelly" rarely goes out.
Chelly died during COVID. She was born in July so her birthday may be around today.

For fifty years I have been a Document Examiner and that is how I earn my living. For over 50 years I have also been a publicist for actors, singers, writers, composers, artists, comedians, and many progressive non-profit organizations. I am a Librettist-Composer of a Broadway musical called, "Nellie Bly" and I am in the process of making small changes to it. In addition, I have written over 100 songs that would be considered "popular music" in the genre of THE AMERICAN SONGBOOK.
My family consists of four branches. The Norwegians and The Italians and the Norwegian-Americans and the Italian Americans.
