Mr. & Mrs. Herman G. IMM

I have in my possession an old studio photograph of "Grandpa and Grandma IMM'S Wedding Picture" which was taken at the E. J. Christman Studio in Waterville, MN in the 1880's. The couple appears to be in their 20's at the time the photograph was taken. Based on limited research I know that this is a photograph of Herman G. IMM, and his wife Ida and I was able to gather the following information regarding the couple and their families:

Herman G. IMM was b. 10 Jun 1858 in Germany to parents Theodore or Theodor J. IMM (1834-1914) and Paulina or Pauline SPERNOW (1844-1906). Herman had three siblings, Auguste Pauline IMM (1860-1887) and Emma Marie IMM MORGENWECK (1865-1936) and Paulina IMM. Herman married Ida “Edie” Louise STOERING (1866-1951) on 27 Oct 1887. It appears that the couple had 6 children including Erna Emma; Gertrud Isabella Flora; Thulnolda or Thusnelda Wanda; Eide; Edith Blanche; and Nelda R. IMM, all born between 1888 and 1908.

Herman died 9 Aug 1933 or 1934 in Le Sueur, MN and is buried in the Sakatah Cemetery in Waterville, MN.

Ida “Edie” Louise STOERING or STORING was b. 1866 in Germany to parents August STOERING (1840-1914) and Emma GRAMINZ or GRAMMANZ (1843-1887). Ida was one of 5 children born to this couple including Ida “Edie” Louise; Adolph; Amelia or Emelia; Paulena or Pauline Amelia; and Herman Albert STOERING, all born between 1866 and 1882. After her mother died her father remarried and 5 additional children were born including August; Henry Edward; Charlotte J.; Elsie; and Robert Edward STOERING, all born between 1888 and 1898.

Ida died 13 May 1951 in Rice Co., MN and is also buried in the Sakatah Cemetery in Waterville, MN.
