Mrs. Hoar
I’ve “rescued” an old photograph of Mrs. HOAR which was taken at the L. Winsor Studio in Champion, MI sometime in the 1890’s. I believe that this is a photograph of Ann HOAR who was the wife of William HOAR and living in Champion at that time. Ann appears to be in her 50’s or 60’s at the time the photograph was taken. Based on limited research I was able to locate the following information regarding Ann HOAR and her family:
Ann HOAR was b. 29 Nov 1837 in England. Ann was married to William HOAR (b. 9 Oct 1837 in England- d. 5 Dec 1910 in Marquette, MI) and they had 7 children including, Ellen; Joseph; Fred; Charles; William; Anna F. HOAR ANDERSON or ANDERSEN (1859-1929) and Frederick S. HOAR (1873-1945). Ann died 30 Dec 1911 in Marquette, MI and is buried in the Park Cemetery in Marquette.
Census records provide the following details:
1900 census of Marquette, MI:
William HOAR, age 63, born Oct 1837, married 40 years, born England, parents born England, to USA 1870, a Painter

I’m hoping to locate someone from this HOAR Family so that the photograph can be returned to its rightful place, with family. If you are a member of this family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me.
Thanks,
Shelley
