Donna Magee
Hello! My name is Donna Lynn, and I am first generation born here in the States. I have four children, Joseph Jeffrey, Anthony Cahal. Cahal Robert, and Frances Ryanne. Even though I have first generation relatives right here...they don't seem to talk much about our history. My Gran died in 1979 (I believe). My Mother died when I was 2, in 1967, and I have no brothers or sisters. I would love to meet family we still have left in Ireland. Many came to the States when my Grandparents did in the 50's. My Gran was of Magee dissent and my Grandmother a Killian, she died in 1966. I hope I can find some links here, and grow a family for my children, who are proud of their Irish heritage, and want to know all they can, as well as myself. My Father, Cahal J. Magee, used to go back each year. My Gran was Patrick Magee, he married Norah Killian. Norah Killian I believe was from County Cork. My father's name was Cahal Joseph Magee, he was born in 1942, and raised in County Down Ireland. He had 2 sisters and a brother; Margurita, Deirdre, and Liam. My Grandparents also adopted my Aunt Grace's son, Norman Magee, for family reasons concerning wedlock. My great Aunt Grace, was also a Killian, and came over in the 50's. I have a large extended family here in the States, but really want to find our roots, since it's not a subject readily talked about in the family. Since we are considering relocating at some point, I would appreciate any help one can give! Thank You!
