My grandfather, real name unknown
This is my grandfather who originally probably came from Poland or Russia and was living in Hungary, mostly in Sopron and Bodajk for the major part of his life. He probably has children also in the UK by his former wife. He was probably born in or around 1891 and died in 1974.

I'm looking for the real name of my grandfather who lived under an assumed name in Hungary from the early decades of the 20th century. He might have been born in or around 1891 in Russia or Poland. His father was in the navy. He was already in the Russian-Japanese war. Had some navy training himself. He was supposed to be an aristocrat with considerable property and living in Poland or Russia but was probably Polish. Reportedly he spoke several languages. He had had a wife (maybe a French governess) and two sons or two daughters in his country of origin who went to live in the UK, possibly in London a) while he was a war prisoner and they left with the German steward of the property b) he took them to the UK himself for safety maybe because of the Russian revolution but he himself went on to Central Europe. He met my grandmother in Vienna in the late 30's or early 40's and they later had a son and later still moved in together and lived in Hungary in Sopron and Bodajk. He died in '74. I'd like to find out more about his origins.
