Nancy Kulp
Actress. A native of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, she was best known for the role of Miss Jane Hathaway on the 1960s television comedy series "The Beverly Hillbillies" for which she was nominated for an Emmy Award. Before her career as an actress, she left the University of Miami in 1944 to volunteer for service in the United States Naval Reserves during World War II. As a member of the Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service, Lt. J.G. Kulp received several decorations, including the American Campaign Medal. She left the service in 1946. Her many TV credits included "Perry Mason," "Twilight Zone," "The Lucy Show," "Sanford and Son," "Petticoat Junction," "The Love Boat," "Simon & Simon," and "Quantum Leap." For feature films, she appeared in "Steel Town" (1952), "Shane" (1953), "A Star is Born" (1954), "Count Three and Pray" (1955), "Forever Darling" (1956), "Moon Pilot" (1962) and "The Patsy" (1964). She died in Palm Desert, California.
