This is a photo of my mother in 1925 when she was 17, taken in front of the farmhouse where she was born and raised. She and my dad had just been married a few months here. Her hair was thicker than the woman in the picture above, but the waves were there because without the marcel style, my mom had very straight hair.
Linda Woody true my grandmother never cut her hair from childhood on through the years... she moved from Georgia. She passed in 1965 & was 101 years old!! Lived in Texas after the civil war.
