Maybe it's the marcelled hair, but we're thinking 1920? Any hints in this photo for you?

My Grammie from the 1920's same hair type.
This is a photo of my mother in 1925 when she was 17, taken in front of the farmhouse where she was born and raised. She and my dad had just been married a few months here. Her hair was thicker than the woman in the picture above, but the waves were there because without the marcel style, my mom had very straight hair.

I would think between 1925-1935. Broad range because style did not radically change went the economy went South.

Linda Woody true my grandmother never cut her hair from childhood on through the years... she moved from Georgia. She passed in 1965 & was 101 years old!! Lived in Texas after the civil war.

I have "Figleys" in my tree. They're from Switzerland & may be descended from the religious reformer & Calvin rival, Zwingli.

Bobbed and crimped hair and the dress all point to the middle 1920's, for sure!
Bobbed hair is a give-away.

1920’s They used a heated “sad” iron here in Texas that was heated up in a fireplace or wood stove to curl their hair that way.
