In 1927, nearly 100 years ago, Oliver Alexander Wolner married Ruth Hildegard Mossengren in Minnesota. His brother Otto was best man and the bride's sister, Fern, was a bridesmaid.

Aren't we fortunate that photography allows us to share in this special moment so many years later?

My grandma Ruth was the sweetest, kindest woman you would ever want to meet. She was very family oriented. She loved to bake and cook. She would always bake bread and buns on Saturday mornings. If the grandkids where there she would make special cinnamon rolls or sticky buns. When staying over I would be awaken by the sound of her kneading the bread in the bowl and punching it down. Or the smell of the bread baking in the oven. She also would make home made bread and butter pickles that I adored. She knew how much I loved them so would usually send a jar home for me and my brothers to eat. I have such fond memories of time spent there with her. The sound of a Morning Dove always reminds me of her, for I would hear them in the mornings cooing as I woke. She loved to sing, you could hear her singing to songs of the time on the radio. I remember when she was going to go up town to go shopping she would say to me, I have to go get my Sunday go to meeting clothes on so I can go shopping. I miss her so much. She loved all of her children and grandchildren. She died shortly after her 86th birthday and was buried in Mount Hope Cemetery in Saint James, Watonwan County, Minnesota, USA
