Papa "Pat" Patterson in front of his wysteria bush
...this is behind the house... the room right behind Papa was where Granny Cooper stayed... they built that on extra for her... my grandfather was not only a carpenter, but a woodworker working with trees (cypress was one of his favorites) making furniture... to the right of that room, which you can see sticks out, is the back porch, and OH what a wonderful porch that was... screen in on three sides with the coolest breeze running thru it and the most comfortable feather bed in the history of mankind... ...I know, I slept there... ...when I was not down there spending time with them, Mama slept in their bedroom in the front, which was filled with quilts and all kinds of wonderful knick-knacks... as I said, Mama loved flowers, and this was one of her many wysteria around the back yard... it was just gorgeous in full bloom... and when the wind blew on a cool spring day, there was nothing better....
