PVT Irving George Barteau
My Uncle, PVT. Irving George Barteau was in the Army for only a short time and was participating in his second campaign before he lost his life at St. Lo, France on 30 July 1944. He was the youngest of ten children born to Anna Elizabeth Arkes and Edward Francis Barteau. He married Mary Catherine Kistner in 1941 in Florissant, Missouri.
