Pythagoras "Pete" Papadam- Georgia Southern University

Pythagoras Papadam is the son of Alkis Papadam (1921-1984) and Niovi Mavrozoumi Papadam (1916-1999). He had one sister. He was born on November 17, 1943 in Athens, Greece and grew up there. He immigrated to the US arriving in New York, New York, USA on October 9, 1962. He then moved to Statesboro, Georgia, USA where he was a student at Georgia Southern University. Pythagoras married Elaine Bailey (1944-2015) on March 18, 1966 in the chapel of the First Baptist Church in Douglas. The couple had children including Retired Lieutenant Colonel Timothy P. Papadam, Sophia Papadam, and Claire Papadam. Pythagoras Papadam passed away on July 22, 2011. Both Pythagoras and Elaine are buried at the Douglas City Cemetery in Douglas, Coffee County, Georgia, United States of America.
