Ralph Gabriel

Born January 10, 1901 in Calabria as the son of Rocco and Rosina Gabriele from Cruccoli in Calabria, Italy. He was the grandson of Leonardo Gaetano Gabriele. He was originally known as Raffaele Gabriele but by 1920 he had already changed his name. He was the brother to Teresina Mariagrazia Gabriele who changed her name to Grace Gabriel by the time she was 14 years old. His close friend was the widow of his brother Elmo, Julia Gabriel. Elmo was known as Armand but he was born Armanto Gabriele until he also changed his name. My Uncle Ralph never married. He was a warm and friendly guy and flirted with every woman my mother introduced him to. As an Uncle, he was the best of my six uncles. He came to visit us more than the others. Only Uncle Jimmy Gabriele visited us too because the other uncles lived in other States.
